MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Police have arrested a suspect wanted for shooting two security guards at a Memphis roller rink earlier this month.
Late in the evening of April 2, the crowd scattered at the Crystal Palace after the sound of gunshots. Inside, two skating rink security guards were hit by bullets.
Monday night, Memphis police booked Andrianne Kiser, 20, on two counts of attempted second-degree murder. Kiser, who was identified by witnesses in a photo lineup, was jailed on $150,000 bond. He will appear in court next week.
According to police investigators, the incident on April 2 started when a fight broke out inside the Crystal Palace. The two security guards emptied the building, and were shot in the aftermath. Kiser is accused of pulling the trigger.
Cedric Sawyer was shot once in the chest. Police found him on the floor near the pool tables. He is still at the Med, but has been upgraded to good condition.
David Secamond was shot once in his right hip. Police found him just inside the front door of the building. He has been released from the hospital.
Neither Secamond nor Sawyer were armed. A police report noted that crime scene investigators found eight different spent shell casings while combing the shooting scene.
