MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - One mother is angry with her daughter's school after a group of girls attacked her child in a cafeteria fight.
“I was over horrified,” said the mother of a ninth grade student at White Station High who does not want to be identified. She was horrified when she saw
The girl fight was recorded by other students who put it all over social media. That mother said she feared something bad might happen.
"They posted on Facebook this morning that they were going to get her," she recalled.
The cellphone video shows several girls throwing punches in the cafeteria and in a classroom.
The mother said her daughter had been bullied for about a month. She's not exactly sure what it was about. But she says her daughter went to school administrators.
"She went to the principal and told her and she still didn't do anything about it," she explained.
The mother said she talked with school administrators as well, trying to get something done. She is more angry with school administrators than the students hitting her daughter.
"I'm actually more mad at the school because I have been going to administrators for a month. She says, 'Well we're going to get a statement,'" the mother added.
This mother is frustrated and angry that nothing was done before it developed into this brawl that ended with eight students being suspended, including her daughter.
All eight students have summons for juvenile court.
"They just pushed the problem onto police and kicked them out of school," said the mother.
