Police arrest accused social media predator

Man charged with social media attacks

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Police arrested a man accused of attacking women he met on social media.

According to police, officers received several reports of assaults throughout the Memphis area.  They believed the attacks were related because they primarily happened after the victims met a man they first encountered on social media.

According to a police report, a woman told police she talked to a man on Instagram with the username 'PRINCESHUN' for about three weeks.  November 11, he asked to meet her in person, to which she agreed and gave him her address.

When the man arrived, she walked out to his car and he told her he was Shun's cousin.  After driving down Interstate-40, the victim said he took the Whitten Road exit and pulled over. He took out a gun and told her to reset her phone and give him everything she had with her.

The victim told police she gave him her wallet, then jumped out of the car and got help from other drivers.

Police learned that several similar attacks occurred in the same area.

According to investigators, 22-year-old Terry Coley was identified as the man responsible for these crimes.  He was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping, two counts of aggravated rape and three counts of aggravated robbery.

He will face a judge Wednesday.
