MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A man accused of firing the shots that killed one person at a fitness center in Southeast Memphis last year was formally indicted on a first-degree murder charge.
Vicdarrius Pollard, 18, was shot multiple times in July at LA Fitness on Polo Grounds Boulevard.
Witnesses said Pollard was playing basketball with Ronald Jones, 22, when the two got into an argument over a foul.
Jones is accused of leaving the gym, but returning later with a gun.
Other than playing basketball together that day, witnesses said Pollard and Jones did not know each other.
