MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Two sexual assaults in less than an hour at Rhodes College were reported.
That accusation is sending shock waves through campus, but Memphis Police Department said it never received an official report, only a memo that something had been reported.
It turns out the victims of the sexual assaults anonymously reported them to an online campus bulletin board.
The posts say the assaults took place at a fraternity house within the span of an hour.
Those two assaults may be the most recent, but they are certainly not the only reports of sexual misconduct on campus this year.
"During the first semester here, this year, I probably received three or four emails about reports," one student said.
On the same page where students can anonymously report crimes, there is a chart that aggregates all the crimes reported.
A look at that chart shows five other sexual assaults just this year.
The reported sexual assaults are getting so much attention, professors are even addressing them during class time.
"I think it's really good dialogue to have especially with professors who are really good and not afraid to take on these issues," the student said.
