Tennessee State University shooting suspects arrested in Memphis

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - United States Marshal's Task Force arrested two men wanted in connection with the murder of a man on the Tennessee State University campus.

Christopher Gatewood, 20, and Robert Tunstall, 20, were arrested in Memphis and booked into Shelby County Jail.

After a 10-month investigation, Gatewood and Tunstall were identified as the two men seen in a surveillance video that captured the shooting that killed 19-year-old Cameron Selmon in October 2015.

Gatewood was taken into custody at his mother's home on Old Forest Road on Friday. Tunstall was arrested as he visited a parole officer.

Both men are facing one count of first-degree murder, three counts of attempted second-degree murder, three counts of aggravated assault, three counts of violating Tennessee's Crooks with Guns statute, and one count of felony reckless endangerment.

Investigators said a dispute over a dice game escalated into a physical fight, which led to the shooting that took place in the outdoor courtyard of the Flloyd Payne Campus Center on October 22, 2015.
