Apartment fire damages at least two buildings in vacant complex

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Memphis firefighters have put out a fire in the 1900 block of Asa Drive.

The fire broke out at Belz Apartments around 7 p.m. Friday night. According to Memphis Fire Department, the apartments are vacant. There were no injuries.

Police closed part of Asa Drive, blocking the entrance to the complex, as firefighters put out the fire.

Two buildings were damaged.

MFD investigators said the fire appeared to be intentionally set. They will continue to investigate.
