SAVANNAH, TN (WMC) - A pregnant woman was shot five times in a drive-by shooting in Savannah, Tennessee, on Wednesday night.
According to family, Haley Smith, 23, was shot at Dodge's Chicken, a restaurant in Savannah.
Smith is five months pregnant with twin babies.
Smith's mother said Smith left home to watch fireworks. Twenty minutes later, she called back screaming that she was bleeding and needed her mother to meet her at the hospital.
Smith was shot five times in the arms, chest, breast, and shoulder.
Smith was rushed to the hospital in Memphis where she is in critical but stable condition.
One person, Lakeevan Barnes, is in custody for the shooting, but police are actively searching for two more shooters, Demark Atkins and Antonio Adams, according to Tennessee River Valley News.
Smith's mother said the twins have strong heartbeats and doctors are on standby if the need arises for an emergency C-section.
