MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - The U.S. Department of Education is reminding state education chiefs of new federal laws that could impact teachers.
The "Every Student Succeeds Act" prohibits teachers from recommending other teachers who have committed sexual acts against minors.
The "Every Student Succeeds Act" was signed under the Obama Administration in 2015 that ensures that all students receive an education that prepares them for college, career, and life.
Another new law in Tennessee requires the State Board of Education to report all disciplinary actions to a national clearinghouse.
