MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Plans are falling into place for the future of a proposed boutique hotel in Overton Square.
Loeb Properties revealed its plans for the hotel, which is named "The Memphian," in renderings. The Memphian is set for construction in November.
Loeb's timeline sets the hotel's opening at early 2020.
The 109-room hotel will be designed to "match the Square's unique architectural style with high-end finishes that incorporate local historic imagery." This includes a rooftop bar overlooking Midtown and Overton Park.
The hotel hopes to attract performers and visitors from Playhouse on the Square, Hattiloo Theater, and Ballet Memphis.
